Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani reported the first quarter 2026 investment realisation of Rp498.79 trillion to President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026). This figure reflects 100.36% of the set target of Rp497 trillion, with a 7.22% year-on-year growth. According to Ekonomi, this investment impacts the absorption of 706,569 Indonesian workers. The capital composition during this period shows a balance between Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) at 50.11% and Domestic Investment (PMDN) at 49.89%. The top five regions contributing to PMDN include Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, and Central Java. Singapore is the largest foreign investor with US$4.6 billion, followed by Hong Kong with US$2.7 billion and China with US$2.2 billion. The United States and Japan also contributed US$1.7 billion and US$1 billion, respectively. The basic metals industry sector, including smelter construction, dominates capital flows alongside mining, housing, industrial estates, and transportation. The telecommunications and warehousing sectors are also recorded as major contributors to the realisation.
