Jakarta, VIVA – Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani reported the first quarter 2025 investment realisation to President Prabowo Subianto. He stated that realisation during the first three months of 2025 reached Rp465.2 trillion.

"The investment in the first quarter is in line with the target set by Bappenas for us. The total investment target for 2025 is Rp1,905.6 trillion, and in the first quarter, Rp465.2 trillion has been realised, or approximately 24.4 per cent. This is on target," said Rosan at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, 23 April 2025.

Rosan explained that the investment comprised domestic investment (PMDN) of Rp234.8 trillion, or 50.5 per cent, whilst foreign investment reached 49.5 per cent, or Rp230.4 trillion.

"Compared to the previous year, on a year-on-year basis there was an increase of 15.9 per cent, up from Rp401.5 trillion the previous year. This is a very encouraging figure," he said.

Furthermore, Rosan noted that on a quarterly basis, investment rose 2.7 per cent from the previous quarter's realisation of Rp452.8 trillion.

"And most importantly, there is the employment absorption. In the first quarter, the employment generated from the Rp452.8 trillion investment was 594,104 people, an increase of 8.5 per cent from the previous year," he said.

Rosan added that President Prabowo had directed him to routinely conduct socialisation efforts and roadshows to global stakeholders.
