Pyramid of Cash Worth Rp 10.2 Trillion at Attorney General's Office Assembled Since 04:00 WIB

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A pyramid-like stack of cash worth Rp 10.27 trillion, exhibited during the handover of forest area enforcement results by the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) at the Attorney General’s Office, was actually assembled starting from dawn.

The Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, stated that the process of stacking the cash pyramid began at 04:00 WIB on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

“From this morning, assembling from 4 a.m.,” said Anang, when met after the handover event at the Attorney General’s Office building in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to Anang, the Rp 100,000 denomination notes stacked to resemble a pyramid were sourced directly from several state-owned bank association (Himbara) member banks.

Anang mentioned that three banks were involved in providing the cash for the ceremony, namely Bank Mandiri, BRI, and BNI.

He confirmed that the total cash displayed at the event matched the amount handed over by Satgas PKH, namely Rp 10.27 trillion.

“Yes, it matches that, Rp 10.2 trillion this,” he said.

Although displayed as a cash pyramid at the event venue, Anang emphasised that the money was merely symbolic to demonstrate transparency in handing over the forest area enforcement proceeds to the state.

“Clearly, this money is symbolic, the handover of state funds from the case,” he said.

He explained that the funds originated from administrative fine payments and seizures in the forest area enforcement by Satgas PKH.

“Those funds are from administrative fine payments and seizure proceeds, directly deposited into the state treasury today,” said Anang.

Previously, Satgas PKH handed over Rp 10.27 trillion from forest area enforcement to the state through the Ministry of Finance.

The funds consisted of Rp 3.42 trillion in administrative forestry fines collection and Rp 6.84 trillion from supervision of PBB and non-PBB land taxes.

Attorney General ST Burhanuddin stated that since its formation in February 2025, Satgas PKH has successfully reclaimed 5.8 million hectares of forest land in the palm oil sector and 12,371 hectares in the mining sector.
