Jakarta, VIVA – NasDem Party cadre Putriana Hamda Dakka sent a letter to the party’s General Chairman Surya Paloh on 23 February 2026.

Through the letter, she sought legal protection and justice over the removal of her name from the interim replacement (PAW) list for House of Representatives (DPR RI) members representing the South Sulawesi III constituency.

“I sent a ‘love letter’ to Ayananda Surya Dharma Paloh with humility, requesting legal protection and justice over the removal of my name from the NasDem Party’s DPR RI interim replacement list for the South Sulawesi III constituency,” Putri Dakka said after submitting the letter through the party secretariat at NasDem Tower, Jalan Gondangdia Lama, Jakarta, as quoted on Tuesday, 24 February 2026.

The removal was announced during a NasDem South Sulawesi Provincial Board Consolidation Meeting on 13 February 2026 in Makassar, which Putri Dakka described as an unconstitutional and arbitrary decision. The DPR seat for South Sulawesi III became vacant after Rusdi Masse Mappasessu (RMS) transferred to another party.

However, rather than being appointed as the replacement candidate based on the order of votes received, Putri’s name was instead struck from the interim replacement list.

In her capacity as the recipient of 53,700 valid votes in the 2024 legislative elections, Putri Dakka maintained that the removal of her name from the NasDem Party’s DPR RI interim replacement list had no legal basis.

“This is an example of democracy that does not adhere to its own principles. It contradicts the NasDem Party Manifesto, which is oriented towards the public, and therefore must be rejected,” she said.

Putri Dakka is the Chairwoman of the NasDem Party’s North Luwu Regency Branch Board, who received her appointment decree directly from General Chairman Surya Dharma Paloh on 19 November 2021 at the NasDem Building in Jakarta.

“To this day, I am still registered as a NasDem Party member, hold a Party Membership Card (KTA), and have never resigned nor been dismissed,” she stressed.

Putri Dakka firmly rejected the justification offered by NasDem South Sulawesi Provincial Board Chairman Syaharuddin Alrif, who claimed she lacked loyalty to the party on the grounds that she had stood as a mayoral candidate in Palopo City through the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan).

She considered the statement to be at odds with remarks made by Syaharuddin Alrif when he served as Secretary of the NasDem South Sulawesi Provincial Board, during which he praised Putri Dakka’s leadership and achievements in helping NasDem gain two additional seats in North Luwu in the 2024 legislative elections.
