Putin Welcomes Prabowo: A Noble Visit of Great and Important Significance

Russian President Vladimir Putin received a visit from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Moscow, Russia. Putin stated that Prabowo’s visit holds great and important significance amid the current global geopolitical situation.

Putin conveyed this during a bilateral meeting with Prabowo at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, as seen in a YouTube broadcast by the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat on Monday (13/4/2026). Putin expressed his thanks to Prabowo for fulfilling his invitation.

“Your Excellency, Mr President, esteemed friends, first of all, allow me to extend our most sincere thanks for Your Excellency accepting our invitation and visiting Moscow,” said Putin.

Putin noted that the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Indonesia have continuously maintained good cooperation. The same applies to the cooperation between the foreign ministries of both countries in various international forums.

“The foreign ministries of our two countries work very closely together and interact very well in various international forums,” he said.

Furthermore, Putin stated that Prabowo’s visit holds important meaning for his country amid the world’s turbulent situation.

“Your Excellency Mr President, thank you very much once again. We see that Your Excellency’s visit holds very great and very important significance, especially considering the current situation and developments in the world, as well as in terms of enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic field. We warmly welcome and greatly appreciate Your Excellency’s visit,” Putin remarked.
