President Vladimir Putin of Russia conducted a crucial telephone conversation with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. In this dialogue, Putin reaffirmed Russia’s principled position supporting rapid de-escalation of the Middle East conflict and resolution of the crisis through political and diplomatic channels.

“The Russian President reaffirmed his position to support rapid de-escalation of the conflict and its resolution through political means.
