Putin: Russia and ASEAN Support a Just World Order

Kazan (ANTARA) - Russia and ASEAN countries support a just world order, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a reception honouring participants of the ASEAN-Russia summit in Kazan on Wednesday. “We jointly support the formation of a just world order, uphold the principles of sovereign equality of states, and non-interference in internal affairs,” Putin said at the event. Putin assessed that Russia and ASEAN share common moral values. “All our countries follow their own development models and do not impose their views on anyone. And this, of course, is our strength,” Putin said. The ASEAN-Russia summit is taking place from 17–19 June in Kazan and is held to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the ASEAN-Russia partnership. The Russia-ASEAN Business Forum will be held on 17 June on the sidelines of the summit.
