Moscow (ANTARA) - Russia has received a number of proposals from Ukraine to cease long-range attacks, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday (27/6).

“There are also new proposals, and I am prepared to mention some of them. For example, halting long-range attacks into each party’s territory,” Putin told Russian journalists.

“It is clear why these proposals are being made, because our retaliatory strikes into Ukrainian territory are going deeper, are stronger, more impactful, and, frankly, more destructive, resulting in truly serious consequences for the regime in Kyiv,” said Putin.

He also revealed proposals to limit combat operations to only four regions—Kherson Region, Zaporizhzhia Region, the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the Luhansk People’s Republic—and to cease combat operations in all other territories.

Putin stated that contact regarding the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine is still ongoing through several communication channels.

“Yes, it is true that such contact exists and has been established through several directions and several channels. I do not consider that a secret,” he said.

He added that Russia is carefully considering every proposal coming from Ukraine.

“Given the severe shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian armed forces, it seems they believe this could be a lifesaver for them. However, saving the Kyiv regime is not part of our plan,” Putin concluded.
