Medan — The Disaster Management Operations Centre (Pusdalops PB) of North Sumatra recorded that 4,843 victims of hydrometeorological disasters that occurred on 27 November 2025 in the province remain in evacuation centres.

According to reports received in Medan on Sunday, 4,843 people from 1,412 household heads (KK) remain evacuated in Central Tapanuli Regency.

Sri Wahyuni Pancasilawati, Head of Emergency Response, Equipment and Logistics at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), stated that the report represented preliminary data received by Pusdalops PB Sumut.

“This data is an update as of 15 March 2026 at 17:00 WIB,” she said.

“Developments regarding the disaster will continue to be reported, including the data,” she added.

Data from Pusdalops Sumut shows that 20 districts and cities in the province were hit by natural disasters in the latter part of last year. These 20 areas include Medan City, Tebing Tinggi City, Binjai City, Padangsidimpuan City, Sibolga City, Deli Serdang Regency, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Langkat Regency, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, and Pakpak Bharat Regency.
