Purwakarta Regional Asset Division Head Found Dead with Multiple Stab Wounds

The Head of the Asset Division at the Purwakarta Regency Government, identified as YS (46), was found dead with multiple stab wounds at his home in Kampung Karangsari, Citalang Village, Purwakarta District, Purwakarta Regency, on Sunday (14/6/2026) at 9:30 PM Western Indonesia Time. The victim was first discovered by his wife, Widia Utami, and his mother-in-law, Lilis.

Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, stated that the victim’s wife and child had just returned from attending a graduation event when they found the house in darkness with both the front and side doors closed and locked. She called out for the victim but received no response.

Accompanied by her mother-in-law, the wife entered the house through a rear window near the kitchen to check the doors. They then noticed a pool of blood at the entrance. Upon opening the bedroom door, they found the victim lying dead on his back.

Police officers who examined the body discovered multiple injuries believed to have been inflicted by a sharp weapon. These included a laceration to the solar plexus, a wound on the left side of the neck, and two lacerations on the right and middle of the neck. The victim also had ligature marks around his neck and bruises on several parts of his body.
