Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) is expanding its merchant network in Bandung through the ‘Serbu Ekosistem’ Programme to increase the use of digital transaction services. As of 31 August 2026, BSN’s QRIS service has been utilised by 2,102 merchants, recording a total of 2.07 million transactions valued at Rp552.1 billion.

This merchant expansion is part of Bank BSN’s strategy to develop the use of digital banking services amidst the growing user base of Bale Syariah. The mobile banking platform is recorded to have 238,897 users, with 3.29 million transactions and a transaction volume of approximately Rp6.57 trillion.

Bank BSN President Director Alex Sofjan Noor stated that the company is developing the ‘Serbu’ Programme by targeting various community activity ecosystems, including restaurants, campuses, hospitals, mosques, and shops.

“One of them is through various Serbu Programmes, ranging from Serbu Resto, Serbu Kampus, Serbu Rumah Sakit, Serbu Mesjid, to Serbu Toko. Today in Bandung, we are continuing that spirit through the Serbu Ekosistem Programme,” said Alex in a press release on Sunday (13/9/2026).

The Serbu Ekosistem Programme in Bandung was held at Saji Marem, a restaurant owned by a Bank BSN customer and merchant. The event also provided an opportunity for management to meet directly with business owners to explore their banking service needs.

“Today, I actually want to listen more directly from you as business owners and BSN customers. What has been working well, what we still need to improve, and what needs can be further supported by BSN in the future,” he expressed.

The expansion of the merchant ecosystem involves business players from various sectors. During the event in Bandung, Bank BSN met with representatives from companies and business owners such as PT Bestow Harapan Indah, PT Verindo Klaras Utama, Mayoutfit, Rurik, Flottilicious & Ghalibia, Belyanza, and the Asy-Syifa educational institution.

As of the end of August 2026, Bank BSN’s assets were recorded at Rp81.5 trillion, representing a year-on-year growth of 20.75 per cent. This figure positions Bank BSN as the second-largest Sharia bank in Indonesia based on assets, according to the provided information.

In addition to Bandung, the Serbu Ekosystem Programme was previously implemented in Jakarta and will continue in several other major cities. This expansion is aimed at increasing transaction points and enhancing the use of digital services by business owners.

During the launch in Bandung, Alex was accompanied by Bank BSN Retail Funding Director Ari Kurniaman, Commercial and Corporate Banking Director Maqin U Norhadi, and Bandung Branch Manager Benny Kurniawan.
