Purnomo Yusgiantoro to chair IKAL Lemhannas for the 2026-2031 period

The inauguration of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of IKAL Lemhannas RI for the 2026-2031 period was held at the Dwi Warna Building, Lemhannas RI, in Jakarta on Monday, 18 May 2026. The inauguration was directly conducted by the Governor of Lemhannas RI and simultaneously Chairman of IKAL’s Supervisory Board, Ace Hasan Syadzily. The event was attended by the Supervisory Board, the Honorary Board, the Advisory Board, the DPP IKAL Lemhannas management, and a number of other invitees.

In his speech, Purnomo stated that the mandate as general chairman is not merely an honour but a form of service to the nation. He urged IKAL to continue supporting the country’s development. ‘IKAL’s joint vision is to uphold IKAL’s prestige, namely honour and self-respect, to support the presence of Lemhannas’ alma mater in contributing to development,’ Purnomo said.

The Deputy Governor of Lemhannas RI from 1998-2000 pledged to strengthen the organisation’s foundation by prioritising the reinforcement of the Regional Management Boards (DPD) and all organisational elements at the regional level. Purnomo noted one of IKAL’s priorities is to establish regional coordinators across various regions of Indonesia to broaden alumni involvement and role.

‘We are all one family, one line, and one resolve,’ he said.

During the occasion, he also expressed appreciation to General (Ret.) Agum Gumelar, who has led IKAL Lemhannas for four terms, and to the interim chairman of the DPP IKAL Lemhannas for their contributions and service.

The Governor of Lemhannas RI and also Chairman of IKAL’s Supervisory Board Ace Hasan Syadzily stressed that the inauguration of the new leadership is an important moment to re-strengthen the solidarity of Lemhannas alumni.

‘IKAL-Lemhannas must be able to serve as a shared home for all alumni, without divisions or polarisation, while continuing to uphold the values of Pancasila and the spirit of service to the nation,’ he said.

Ace Hasan noted that the 2026 Munaslub IKAL Lemhannas, held on 11 April 2026, was an important part of the process of organisational maturation and further strengthened alumni’s national devotion.

He expressed hope that the new leadership under Purnomo Yusgiantoro will enable IKAL Lemhannas to become a more solid, adaptive organisation that actively contributes to national development and to preserving Indonesia’s national resilience.
