Purbaya Suddenly Visits Bahlil at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, See What They Discussed
Jakarta – Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa visited the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to hold a meeting with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia. Bahlil explained that the meeting was held to discuss strengthening policy synergy between the two ministries, particularly in efforts to increase Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), accelerate the electricity energy self-sufficiency programme, and develop village electricity. He also expressed optimism regarding the continuous collaboration between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Finance. “The title is PNBP up, nation advances,” said Bahlil at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources office in Jakarta on Wednesday, 13 May 2026. Bahlil emphasised that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Finance form a solid team in promoting policy synchronisation to optimise national revenue potential while ensuring the sustainability of national strategic programmes in the energy sector. “We, together with the Finance Minister, discussed the synchronisation programme, including how to increase PNBP, but also how to realise the energy self-sufficiency programme and village electricity,” Bahlil stated. He added that organising state revenue potential in the energy and mineral resources sector must be done in an integrated manner to provide optimal benefits for national development. “One thing, I and Finance Minister Purbaya are a good team in developing the reorganisation of good state revenue potential in the energy and mineral resources sector,” he said. Meanwhile, Purbaya also expressed his support for various strategic steps taken by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, especially those that directly impact the acceleration of national economic growth. “Basically, every effort by the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister will be supported by me, because I benefit,” he said. As information, the meeting between Bahlil and Purbaya reaffirms the government’s commitment to strengthening inter-ministerial synergy to improve the quality of state revenue, accelerate equitable energy access, and drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
