Purbaya states that the policy on 13th-month salary for civil servants has not yet been decided
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the policy on the 13th-month salary for civil servants (ASN) amid budget efficiency measures has not yet been decided. According to him, the decision on whether the 13th-month salary will be subject to efficiency or not is currently still in the discussion stage. “Still under study (efficiency of the 13th-month salary for ASN),” Purbaya said when met in Jakarta on Tuesday. The Finance Minister explained that his side currently cannot provide a final decision and asks the public to wait for the results of further studies. “Wait for it later,” he said. Several cost-saving options are also being discussed, including the possibility of adjusting incentives for ASN that are still under review. Previously reported, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto stated that the 13th-month salary for ASN will be paid in June 2026. Recipients of the 13th-month salary include civil servants (PNS), government employees with work agreements (PPPK), TNI soldiers, Polri members, state officials, and pensioners.
