Purbaya Says No Members of Parliament Have Registered for OJK Selection

Jakarta (ANTARA) — Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has said that to date he has not received any registration from members of the House of Representatives (DPR) seeking to become replacement members of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners.

“No one from the DPR has appeared so far,” Purbaya said when approached by reporters at the Ministry of Finance offices in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Purbaya was appointed as Chairman and Member of the Selection Committee for the replacement of OJK Board of Commissioners members through Presidential Decree Number 16/P of 2026, dated 9 February 2026.

Purbaya said he had seen several candidates with adequate capacity to serve as OJK Board of Commissioners members. However, he still wishes to see how registrations develop going forward.

“There are some good candidates, but in my view there are still too few,” he said.

Purbaya also noted that he had not yet seen a registration from Acting Chairwoman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Friderica Widyasari Dewi.

“Even Bu Kiki [Friderica’s nickname] hasn’t appeared yet. I haven’t seen it,” he said.

President Prabowo Subianto officially established the Selection Committee to fill the positions of Chairman of the Board of Commissioners concurrently serving as Member, Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners concurrently serving as Member, and Chief Executive for Capital Markets, Financial Derivatives and Carbon Exchange Supervision concurrently serving as Member of the OJK.

There had previously been reports that Mukhamad Misbakhun, currently serving as Chairman of DPR Commission XI, was among the candidates being considered for OJK Board of Commissioners Chairman.

The Selection Committee has stated that politicians may participate in the selection process for replacement OJK Board of Commissioners members, but are required to resign from their political party before being formally appointed.

This requirement is in accordance with Article 15 point (i) of Law Number 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (the P2SK Law).

Registration for OJK Board of Commissioners candidates remains open. Registration can be completed online through the website https://seleksi-dkojk.kemenkeu.go.id from 11 February 2026 at 00:00 Western Indonesian Time until 2 March 2026 at 23:59 Western Indonesian Time.

Selection results will be announced through the websites www.kemenkeu.go.id, www.bi.go.id, and https://seleksi-dkojk.kemenkeu.go.id.

The Selection Committee’s decision is final, binding and incontestable.
