Purbaya: Rp257 Trillion in Regional Government Transfers Accelerated for Sumatra Disaster Areas

Jakarta — The Ministry of Finance said realisation of transfers to regional governments (TKD) had reached Rp256.8 trillion as of 30 April 2026, or 37.1% of the 2026 state budget (APBN) of Rp693 trillion. The April disbursement was driven by revenue-sharing funds (DBH), general allocations (DAU), non-physical DAK, the Special Autonomy Fund (Dana Otsus), including relaxations on disbursement and additional TKD allocations for disaster-affected areas in Sumatra. Some TKD payments remain awaiting fulfilment of disbursement requirements by local governments. In Purbaya’s presentation, accelerated realisation and additional TKD allocations for Sumatra’s disaster-affected areas were recorded. Stage I disbursed Rp4.4 trillion with no release conditions; Stage II reached Rp3.1 trillion; disbursement occurred in March 2026 without release conditions. Stage III was disbursed in April 2026, amounting to Rp3.1 trillion, also without release conditions. With accelerated realisation and additional TKD for Sumatra disaster areas, TKD realisation in the region reached Rp42.96 trillion, or 48% of the allocation, higher than the programme’s average. The breakdown shows an additional 2026 TKD budget allocation of Rp10.65 trillion for Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra. This addition has already been disbursed, with the last release in April 2026 amounting to Rp3.1 trillion. The Ministry also noted the latest on Aceh’s Otsus top‑up: the latest data show Stage I disbursed at Rp30.39 billion (40%), Stage II at Rp22.79 billion will be disbursed in May, and Stage III at Rp22.79 trillion will be disbursed starting June 2026.
