Purbaya Reveals Tax Revenue Grew 23% at End of July
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said tax revenue up to the end of July 2026 still grew by more than 23% compared to the same period last year.
He assessed that this tax revenue achievement is relatively safe for pursuing the target set in the 2026 State Budget.
“Mr Bimo (Director General of Taxes) reported yesterday, he brought the figures from the end of last week, roughly. So it is still relatively safe, growth is still more than 23%,” said Purbaya at the Ministry of Finance Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/8/2026).
The Ministry of Finance has not yet released the official figure for tax revenue realisation up to July 2026. However, if calculated from the annual growth rate of 23% (year on year/yoy), tax revenue during January–July 2026 is estimated to have reached around Rp 1,217.7 trillion.
Thus, this tax revenue has reached half of the 2026 State Budget tax revenue target, which is set at Rp 2,357.7 trillion. This means the government has collected around 51.6% of the tax revenue target.
However, revenue growth at the end of July was lower than the previous month, which grew by up to 24.6%.
