Purbaya Reveals 'Fast-Track' Application in Coretax System

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has revealed the practice of using intermediary applications within the Coretax tax system that expedite the reporting process, particularly for large companies.

In a working meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Purbaya admitted he was initially puzzled by the differing experiences of using Coretax between large companies and the general public. This is because large companies did not encounter the same difficulties in accessing it as ordinary citizens.

“I was confused; Coretax is a new programme from end to end, including the interface for the public, so it should be easy—why is it difficult, but no large companies are complaining,” Purbaya stated during the working meeting at the DPR RI Building on Monday (6/4/2026).

It turns out that these large companies use services from applications that stand between the Coretax system and the companies themselves. By utilising these application services, large companies can easily access and upload data into Coretax.

“It turns out there are tax service companies standing between Coretax and the large companies. So it’s fast that way. I said, well, it’s easy to make,” he remarked.

Purbaya also disclosed that not all parties have access to this integration. From the information obtained, only a select few companies have been granted direct access rights to the system.

“It turns out I just found out too—only four companies have the rights or access. I didn’t even know the number. Even when I asked, how many? So there is indeed some information that isn’t written down,” he said.

Therefore, he promised to carry out improvements soon after the tax reporting period for personal income tax (PPh) and corporate income tax (PPh Badan) ends on 31 April 2026.

“If we fix it now, it would be rushed. Once April is over, I will improve this interface,” he stated.
