Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the government has fully disbursed the additional Regional Transfer Funds (TKD) for areas affected by floods and landslides in Sumatra, namely Aceh, West Sumatra and North Sumatra. The additional TKD, he said, reached Rp 10 trillion for the three regions. Purbaya also reaffirmed that the TKD for the three disaster-affected provinces would not be cut. “For the Aceh disaster, everything has been fulfilled according to the request, around Rp 10 trillion has been disbursed. So the TKD for Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra has not been cut. The additional funds were sent until April and it is complete,” Purbaya stressed during the APBN Kita press conference at the Ministry of Finance. Furthermore, he confirmed that the government has prepared a recovery budget for the next three years totalling approximately Rp 100.1 trillion. This recovery budget will be distributed annually until 2028. Regarding the additional recovery budget, Purbaya emphasised that this must await the president’s directive. The government has allocated a post-disaster recovery budget for the Sumatra region of Rp 100.1 trillion for the 2026-2028 period. The funds will be distributed in stages and focused on the rehabilitation of basic infrastructure and the construction of permanent housing for affected residents in the three provinces.
