The Attorney General’s Office has officially handed over Rp 11,420,140,815,850—or Rp 11.4 trillion—to the state treasury. The handover was conducted by Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

The presentation took place in the presence of President Prabowo Subianto during a ceremony for the submission of administrative fines, state financial recovery, and the reclamation of forest areas Phase VI at the Attorney General’s Office headquarters in South Jakarta last week (10 April 2026).

“Today’s handover serves as a demonstration of transparency in our performance to the public. We will submit a total of Rp 11,420,140,815,850 to the state treasury,” said the Attorney General, quoted on Monday (13 April 2026).

Purbaya, who received the funds symbolically, welcomed the additional revenue positively. He even stated that the state treasury’s position is now stronger.

“We are getting richer with another Rp 11.3 trillion,” said Purbaya when met after the event.

To Plug the Deficit

Purbaya explained that this additional funding could provide extra fiscal space for the government, including covering budget deficits or financing priority programmes that had previously been delayed.

“It can (plug the deficit). Or we can use it mostly for development programmes that were cut earlier,” he said.

He detailed that the funds could potentially be allocated for various needs. One of them is financing the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP).

“Including for the Attorney General’s Office, schools, and perhaps a portion for LPDP, but not much,” he said.

“But this isn’t finished yet; there are still many more, and there will be more in the future, so it’s safe,” added Purbaya.

Previously, Purbaya had also received Rp 6.6 trillion from the Attorney General’s Office at the end of last year. The funds originate from asset seizures, proceeds from corruption crimes, and the collection of administrative fines related to forestry cases.

Five Sources of Funds

So, where do these funds handed over by the Attorney General to the state treasury come from?

There are five sources for these funds. Here is the breakdown as stated by the Attorney General:

  1. Collection of administrative fines in the forestry sector and the State Financial Recovery Task Force (Satgas PKH) worth Rp 7,230,036,440,742.

  2. Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from state financial recovery through the handling of corruption crimes by the Attorney General’s Office from January to March worth Rp 1,967,867,840,912.

  3. Tax receipts from January to April amounting to Rp 967,779,890,000.

  4. State revenue through the deposit of Agrinas Palma tax worth Rp 180,574,134,140.

  5. PNBP from environmental fines worth Rp 1,145,847,370,471.

On that occasion, Burhanuddin also reported the control and handover of forest areas related to the reclamation and handover of forest land. He revealed that the Satgas PKH has successfully reclaimed forest areas in both the palm oil plantation and mining sectors, with the following details:

  1. Palm Oil Plantation Sector

The Satgas PKH, from February 2025 to date, has successfully reclaimed forest land covering 5,888,260.07 hectares.

  1. Mining Sector
