Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has received around 46,000 reports through the “Lapor Pak Purbaya” reporting channel, which was opened at the end of last year. Of that number, Purbaya claims that almost all have been followed up.

“46,000 reports to us, how many have been followed up? Almost all have been followed up. Quietly, we keep going,” said Purbaya during the APBN KiTa press conference, quoted on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

According to him, the public’s role is very important in uncovering potential violations, including if there are illegal activities that escape the supervision of authorities such as the Directorate of Customs or Taxes.

“And I also keep open the Lapor Pak Menteri [Report to Mr Minister] which is still valid if there are findings from the public who see illegal activities that are ignored by customs or taxes, report to us. We act on them continuously,” he said.

On the same occasion, Purbaya emphasised that he will push for state revenue by closing all leakage gaps. From illegal cigarettes, narcotics to illegal gold exports.

As is known, a few weeks ago, the Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Finance foiled an attempt to illegally export 190 kilograms of gold through Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

“So we keep cleaning this up. Narcotics cases are also increasingly being addressed. Yesterday gold,” said Purbaya during the APBN KiTa press conference, quoted on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Previously, the Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs sealed the Tiffany & Co jewellery store related to an import violation case committed by the company.

Director of Revenue and Strategic Planning Untung Basuki explained that the case has undergone examination and the audit process will soon follow.

“Examination has been carried out. And then an audit will be conducted,” said Untung when met at the Ministry of Finance Office on Tuesday (6/5/2026).

According to him, the entire process continues in accordance with regulations, with authority lying with the Directorate of Customs.

“So the process continues. Indeed, it is the customs authority that is handling it,” he said.
