Purbaya Pushes Rupiah to Rp15,000 per US Dollar! - Oil Prices Rally Again

Jakarta — Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has stressed that the new regulation on foreign exchange earnings from natural-resource exports (devisa hasil ekspor sumber daya alam, DHE SDA) will support a stronger rupiah. The government will implement the rule from 1 June 2026. Separately, oil prices rose again on Friday 22 May after three sessions of declines, as investors weighed mixed signals from Iran’s peace talks.
