Purbaya Pleased That President Will Visit the DPR to Submit the KEM-PPKF Document Tomorrow

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the nineteenth Plenary Session of the 2025-2026 period on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. The President will deliver the Kerangka Ekonomi Makro dan Pokok-Pokok Kebijakan Fiskal (KEM-PPKF). The Plenary session will convene at 09:00 WIB. The President’s attendance was confirmed by Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Saan Mustopa, via text message. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa also commented on the President’s anticipated arrival, noting that this will be the first time in history that the President submits the KEM-PPKF.

Purbaya said he is pleased the President can be present at the Plenary and deliver the KEM-PPKF: “This is historic,” he said. “For the President to deliver the KEM-PPKF—there may be no way to question it? I’m happy because I am not the one delivering the important messages; those messages will be delivered by the President,” he said at the APBN Kita press conference on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.

Saan also confirmed that the President will deliver directly the KEM-PPKF in the RAPBN 2027 in a speech, which is usually delivered by the Finance Minister. “It has been scheduled that the President will directly deliver,” he said.

In addition, in other items on the plenary agenda, the Legislative Body of the DPR will present the Report on the Second Evaluation of Prolegnas Priority Bills for 2026, followed by a decision. The agenda will also include considering the factions’ views on the Bill on the Initiative by Commission III concerning amendments to Law No. 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, followed by a decision to become a DPR RI Bill.
