Purbaya Inaugurates Robert Marbun as Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Replacing Heru Pambudi

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has officially inaugurated Robert Leonard Marbun as Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Finance, replacing Heru Pambudi who has held the position for about five years since 2021.

The inauguration is based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 24/TPA/2026, signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 16 March 2026.

“As Finance Minister, I hereby officially inaugurate you in your new position within the Ministry of Finance. I trust that you will carry out your duties to the best of your ability in accordance with the responsibilities given,” said Purbaya at the Ministry of Finance on Friday (27/3/2026).

“I will be loyal and obedient to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and I will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my devoted service to the nation and state,” stated Robert.

He also affirmed his commitment to upholding the ethics of office and working professionally.

“May God help me,” said Robert.

Robert’s appointment, along with Heru’s dismissal, is part of the job reshuffles within the Ministry of Finance since Purbaya assumed the role of Minister in September 2025.

Several strategic positions, including echelon I and II officials, have undergone rotations in recent times.

This step is seen as part of efforts to refresh the organisation while strengthening institutional performance amid various economic challenges faced by the government.
