Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has confirmed that the deadline for filing Annual Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh) for individual taxpayers has been extended until 30 April 2026.

Previously, the deadline for individual taxpayers was set only until 31 March 2026.

Purbaya stated that this extension aligns the individual taxpayer reporting deadline with that of corporate taxpayers on 30 April 2026.

He explained that the extension considers the difficulties some taxpayers still face in accessing Coretax.

“Because there is also the possibility that Coretax is spinning around, some people are experiencing that,” Purbaya said.

The Directorate General of Taxation (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance recorded that SPT PPh filings for the 2025 tax year have reached 8.8 million as of 24 March 2026, from both individual and corporate taxpayers.

In detail, filings from employee individual taxpayers number 7,826,341 SPT, and non-employee individual taxpayers number 863,272 SPT.

Meanwhile, filings from corporate taxpayers in rupiah denomination number 183,583 SPT, and 138 SPT for corporations using US dollar denomination.

For corporate taxpayers with different fiscal years that began reporting from 1 August 2025, the number of filings recorded is 1,549 SPT for corporations in rupiah and 21 SPT for corporations in US dollar denomination.

As of 22 March 2026, the number of taxpayers who have activated their Coretax accounts reaches 16,723,354 taxpayers.

This consists of 15,677,209 from individual taxpayers, 955,508 corporate taxpayers, and 90,411 government agency taxpayers.

In addition, there are 226 Electronic System-Based Traders (PMSE) taxpayers who have also activated accounts in the system.
