The Ministry of Finance, through the Director General of Taxation, Bimo Wijayanto, has announced that the reporting period for the Annual Income Tax Notification Letter (SPT) for Corporate Income Tax (PPh), originally ending on 30 April 2026, has been extended to 31 May 2026.

He stated that this extension policy is a directive from Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, to provide relief for corporate taxpayers, considering the needs on the taxpayer service side.

“I sought guidance from the Minister, and he directed us to consider relaxing the submission of the Corporate Annual PPh SPT,” Bimo said at the Central Jakarta Medium Tax Office (KPP Madya Jakarta Pusat) on Thursday, 30 April 2026.

“We are currently processing the extension of the reporting period, and it will be released shortly,” he added.

In addition to considerations regarding taxpayer service needs, Bimo explained that this relaxation in the form of an extended reporting period for corporate SPT is also due to the incomplete core tax administration system, Coretax.

“This relaxation policy is taken due to needs on the taxpayer service side, to ensure data can be entered perfectly, and also from the system side which we are continuously improving,” he said.

Bimo hopes that extending the corporate SPT reporting period to 31 May 2026 will provide more leeway for those taxpayers to prepare the completeness of calculations and other required administration.

“It is hoped that this will provide more certainty for taxpayers and also time to prepare everything needed as completeness requirements,” Bimo said.

He assured that tax officers will continue to provide optimal face-to-face services during the annual SPT reporting period for the public who need direct services at tax offices from Monday to Sunday.

“We have also proactively approached all corporations that we detected need assistance from our members across Indonesia. Because we are committed to providing services that truly approach taxpayers and help fully,” he added.

For information, the annual SPT for individual taxpayers will remain ending on 30 April 2026, as it had previously received an extension from the original 31 March 2026.
