Purbaya Exempts SOE Consolidation from Tax Until 2028
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa revealed that the tax value from streamlining or consolidation transactions between state-owned enterprises (SOEs) under the auspices of Danantara could reach an estimated Rp500 trillion. This was conveyed after a meeting with Danantara’s Chief Operating Officer, who is also the Head of the SOE Supervisory Board, Dony Oskaria. Given the significant value, Dony requested tax relief or incentives. Responding to the request, Purbaya announced a tax exemption for the SOE consolidation process for the next three years. This consolidation includes mergers, liquidations, and business transfers of SOEs. Dony welcomed the incentive, stating it represents the Finance Minister’s support for the transformation of SOEs to be carried out by Danantara.
