Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that out of 142 complaints received through the business obstacle (debottlenecking) channel as of 12 May 2026, 45 cases have been successfully resolved. He conveyed this during the “International Seminar on Debottlenecking Channel” held at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta. “As of today, there have been 142 complaints submitted through this channel. Of these, 83 have been discussed openly and transparently with the public, and 45 cases have been resolved,” Purbaya said on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. In front of investors at the event, Purbaya introduced the Task Force for Accelerating Strategic Government Programmes (P2SP), which is responsible for facilitating the resolution of business obstacles (debottlenecking). The debottlenecking task force has been operating to address business hurdles for domestic companies since December 2025. However, Purbaya noted that global investors are now being informed about the existence of this complaint channel. He explained that the task force holds regular hearings to resolve business obstacle complaints reported by business actors. The government will facilitate one to four business obstacle cases per week, with an effective and efficient mechanism to ensure the problem-solving process runs smoothly. The hearings are conducted openly to enhance the transparency of the process and ensure that no party fails to honour the agreements made. Purbaya explained that the presence of this task force represents the government’s awareness in creating a better investment climate, allowing the private sector to contribute significantly to national economic growth. Therefore, he invited investors from around the world to invest their capital in Indonesia. “We will continue to hold these hearings every week going forward. Therefore, business actors facing problems in conducting business in Indonesia, please report them to us. We assure you that those obstacles will be resolved as quickly as possible,” Purbaya stated. “Perhaps in one discussion or more, but they will definitely be resolved,” he added.
