Purbaya Collects Rp245 Trillion in Tax in Two Months, Up 30.4%

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government, through the Ministry of Finance, has collected tax revenue of Rp 245.1 trillion, up 30.4% year on year (YoY).

‘Tax collection in the first two months of 2026 grew by 30.4%,’ said Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa at a press conference on Friday (6 March 2026).

According to Purbaya, the high tax receipts are linked to the improvement in the economy in recent months. This momentum will be maintained going forward so that receipts continue to rise.

‘From January, February, March, and April we will ensure that all factors supporting economic growth are functioning well,’ he said.

Meanwhile, customs receipts were not as good as the previous year. The government only collected Rp 44.9 trillion, down 14.7%. PNBP (Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak) recorded Rp 68 trillion, down 11.4%. Total state revenue reached Rp 358 trillion, up 12.8%.

Total government expenditure reached Rp 493.8 trillion, up 41.9% with the largest share going to central government spending at Rp 346.1 trillion, up 63.7%. Transfers to regional governments have realised Rp 147.7 trillion, up 8.1%.
