Purbaya Asserts No Extension for Corporate Tax Return Reporting Deadline
Finance Minister (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has emphasised that the government has no plans to extend the reporting deadline for the Annual Income Tax Return (SPT Tahunan Pajak Penghasilan or PPh) for corporate taxpayers. He urged business actors to promptly fulfil their tax obligations before the deadline expires.
“If it’s extended continuously, it will never get done. For now, there is no (extension), so hurry up and fill out the SPT,” said Purbaya at the Ministry of Finance office on Tuesday (21/4).
Referring to the General Provisions and Tax Procedures Law (UU KUP), the deadline for submitting the corporate Annual PPh SPT falls on 30 April 2026. This means corporate taxpayers now have only a few days left to complete their reporting.
Previously, the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) had opened the possibility of providing relaxations for the 2025 tax year Annual PPh SPT reporting for corporate taxpayers. However, this policy still depends on the progress of incoming reports.
DJP’s Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that discussions regarding relaxations, including for taxpayers with underpayments, are still ongoing.
“This is while awaiting developments in the number of corporate taxpayer Annual PPh SPTs that have been reported,” she said.
On the other hand, DJP has already provided relaxations for individual taxpayers for the 2025 tax year Annual PPh SPT reporting. Based on the provisions, the normal reporting deadline is 31 March, but through the Director General of Taxes Decision Number KEP-55/PJ/2026, the government has waived administrative sanctions in the form of fines and interest for late reporting.
This relaxation applies for one month, until 30 April 2026. After that period ends, individual taxpayers who have not yet reported their SPT will again be subject to sanctions as per the provisions.
During the relaxation period, DJP will not issue Tax Bills (STP), allowing settlement of tax deficiencies up to 30 April 2026.
