Purbaya: Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution is a Collective Effort for People's Prosperity

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that President Prabowo Subianto’s directive regarding the importance of implementing Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution represents a collective effort to achieve prosperity for the people. In a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, Purbaya explained that the Pancasila Economic model positions the state, the business sector, cooperatives, and the people together to realise prosperity by ensuring that the strong assist the weak and the large uplift the small.

Furthermore, the Finance Minister emphasised that the President’s directive regarding a clean, fast, orderly, and service-oriented bureaucracy serves as a call for the Ministry of Finance to continue strengthening reforms. This includes improving governance, simplifying processes, maintaining integrity, and ensuring that state policies truly work for the people. He noted that Ministry of Finance employees must provide excellent service to demonstrate that the state is present with dignity.

He also underscored that public trust is an honour that must be upheld by all personnel within the Ministry of Finance. “When we reject deviations, the state is present with integrity. When we manage the State Budget (APBN) with care, the state is present with responsibility,” said Purbaya.

For the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Minister stated that Pancasila must be present in every fiscal policy, service, supervision, and every rupiah of state funds managed. He called for three main commitments that all employees must maintain: upholding integrity, strengthening service, and nurturing unity. “Maintain integrity, strengthen service, and nurture unity. Eliminate sectoral ego. Strengthen mutual cooperation (gotong royong). Make Pancasila a living value in every decision and action,” he concluded.
