Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining fiscal stability for the coming year. Purbaya also ensured support for the implementation of various National Priorities for 2027.

“The Ministry of Finance continues to maintain fiscal performance to encourage higher economic growth through various strategic steps aimed at optimising revenue, quality spending, and innovative financing,” said Purbaya during a Working Meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Monday (15/06/2026).

Amid ongoing global uncertainty, the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) continues to optimise the role of the State Budget (APBN) as an instrument to maintain economic growth. The State Budget is also directed towards increasing public welfare and supporting an inclusive and sustainable economic transformation.

This commitment is realised through the implementation of several key programmes, namely: Fiscal Policy, Financial and Economic Sector Programmes; State Revenue Management Programmes; State Expenditure Management Programmes; Treasury, State Wealth, and Risk Management Programmes; and Management Support Programmes.

Furthermore, support is directed towards several national priority programmes, including the establishment of ‘Sekolah Rakyat’ (People’s Schools), the eradication of smuggling, the development of ‘Merah Putih’ Village/Sub-district Cooperatives, the Free Nutritious Meal Programme, the construction of three million houses, the improvement of healthcare services, and the implementation of the B50 mandatory biodiesel programme.

The Finance Minister also emphasised that the national economic condition through 2026 continues to demonstrate strong resilience. Economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 reached 5.61 per cent (yoy), inflation remains controlled, the trade balance surplus has continued for 72 months, and foreign exchange reserves remain adequate.

On the fiscal side, realised state revenue has reached IDR 1,185 trillion, representing a 19.1 per cent year-on-year (yoy) growth. Meanwhile, state expenditure has reached IDR 1,365.4 trillion, a surge of 34.4 per cent (yoy).

Realised financing stands at IDR 379.4 trillion, while maintaining the deficit and debt within safe and manageable limits. The government continues to uphold the role of the State Budget as a vital instrument to protect public purchasing power, maintain economic stability, and sustain growth momentum while prioritising fiscal sustainability.
