Purbaya accelerates opening of Customs job vacancies for high school graduates
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is accelerating the opening of job vacancies for employees at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) for high school graduates or equivalent. He stated that this acceleration is due to the high interest from applicants and the need for operational personnel in the field. “We’ll speed it up,” the Finance Minister said after attending the “debottlenecking” session in Jakarta on Thursday. When asked about the implementation timeline, Purbaya mentioned it would likely happen soon. “It seems like this month,” he said. However, he added that he would check the exact schedule again. According to him, the recruitment plan has been in discussion for a long time but has not yet been executed. “I’ll check on that again. The proposal has been around for a while, but I asked why it hasn’t been executed,” he said. The upcoming recruitment will not be entirely the same as CPNS intake. The positions opened will be more focused on field technical staff. “This is Customs recruitment but designed for field roles. The CPNS one is for S1 graduates who become bosses, climbing up to become bosses. But in the field, we don’t have enough, so we’re forming a field force. So, for high school graduates,” he explained. He elaborated that the need for field personnel is crucial to support operations, as these positions have been limited so far. Previously reported, the State Treasurer conveyed plans to open around 300 job vacancies at DJBC for high school graduates or equivalent.
