Purbalingga — Purbalingga Police Station has conducted mass control training (dalmas) and equipment inspections to enhance personnel preparedness for potential emergency situations in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java.

“Through this training, all personnel must understand their respective duties and roles so they can act quickly, accurately, and in accordance with procedures,” said Purbalingga Police Chief Deputy Police Commissioner Anita Indah Setyaningrum during a roll call at Kalikabong Village Field, Kalimanah District, Purbalingga, on Saturday.

She stated that the training forms part of an anticipatory measure to ensure all personnel are prepared should field situations escalate. Readiness encompasses not only individual capability but also unit cohesion and inter-departmental coordination.

“I urge this training to be conducted seriously as it serves to develop capabilities and skills and strengthen organisational solidarity,” she said.

The police chief hopes that through regular and planned training, Purbalingga Police Station personnel will become increasingly professional in providing service, protection, and community safeguarding.

The activity also included verification of mass control equipment completeness, including shields, helmets, protective vests, batons, official motorcycles, and supporting equipment, each checked individually to ensure good condition and readiness for immediate deployment.

During the training session, personnel were divided according to their respective task areas, comprising Negotiator Teams, Initial Mass Control Platoons, Advanced Mass Control Platoons, Rapid Response Teams, Law Enforcement Teams, Field Medical Teams, and Documentation Teams.

Each team conducted simulations according to their designated roles and functions under standard operational procedures. Simulations were conducted in stages, beginning with persuasive approaches by negotiators through to mass control formations for crowd management.

The activity is expected to enhance rapid and measured response capabilities should security and public order disturbances occur within Purbalingga Police Station’s jurisdiction.
