Purbalingga — Purbalingga Police Department is preparing various service innovations for communities undertaking the Eid holiday exodus and return journey in 2026 within Purbalingga Regency, Central Java.

“We are preparing various facilities and service innovations so that holiday travellers can rest comfortably and remain safe whilst travelling through Purbalingga,” said Purbalingga Police Chief Senior Police Commissioner Anita Indah Setyaningrum in Purbalingga on Monday.

She stated that the services would be prepared during the implementation of Operasi Ketupat Candi 2026, which will last 13 days, from 13–25 March 2026, to ensure the exodus journey proceeds safely and smoothly.

According to her, various facilities have been provided at security posts established at several strategic points along the exodus routes as stopover points for travellers passing through Purbalingga Regency.

“The facilities provided include comfortable seating areas, family relaxation services, charging stations, free WiFi, and a coffee corner providing complimentary coffee, tea, and light refreshments,” she said.

Additionally, she said, lactation rooms, rest areas, and portable toilets are available to support public comfort whilst at the security posts.

For exodus travellers caught in vehicle queues, she said, officers will also present the Coffee Guard Programme by distributing complimentary coffee and light snacks to help maintain the physical condition of travellers during their journey.

“This programme will be implemented along the exodus routes throughout Purbalingga Regency during traffic congestion or vehicle queues,” she said.

As an effort to anticipate exodus travellers experiencing health issues or vehicle damage, she said, Purbalingga Police Department is also preparing Mobile Medical services in the form of ambulances and motorcycles equipped with medical equipment to provide rapid assistance along the exodus routes.

Additionally, she continued, a Mudik Workshop (Exodus Workshop) is available, providing light servicing and oil changes for exodus vehicles, planned to operate along the exodus route in Bojongsari District.

“To assist vehicles experiencing more serious damage, Purbalingga Police Department will also deploy Jagat (Guard Transport and Stranded Vehicles) services comprising tow trucks and towing vehicles positioned at Jalan AW Soemarmo, Purbalingga,” she said.

As the use of electric vehicles increases, she said, police are also preparing Charge Point Mudik, which comprises electric vehicle charging points at the Cheng Ho Mosque Rest Area in Mrebet District.

“In addition to vehicle services, the public can also utilise the Cekat (Free Integrated Health Check) programme, which provides free health checks such as blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose testing, health consultations, and provision of medicines and vitamins for exodus travellers in need,” said the Police Chief.

Meanwhile, Head of the Public Relations Division of Central Java Regional Police Commissioner Artanto commended the various service innovations that Purbalingga Police Department will present to support the smooth flow of the exodus this year.

“We want to ensure that the public can feel the presence of the National Police not only guarding security but also providing humanistic services and assisting exodus travellers’ needs during their journey,” he said.
