Purbalingga Job Fair 2026 Offers 6,816 Vacancies

The Purbalingga Regency Government in Central Java is providing 6,816 job vacancies through the Purbalingga Job Fair 2026, in an effort to match the needs of the business world with the competencies of the local workforce while reducing the open unemployment rate. “At last year’s 2025 Job Fair, 1,041 job seekers were successfully absorbed. Our hope is that this year the number will be even higher,” said Purbalingga Regent Fahmi Muhammad Hanif after opening the Job Fair 2026, which was attended by 42 companies at the GOR Indoor Sasana Krida Perwira in Purbalingga on Wednesday. He stated that the thousands of available vacancies cover 194 job formations in the manufacturing, restaurant, trade, banking, financial services, digital marketing, garment industry, education, health, and various other sectors. Additionally, there are 346 job vacancies for persons with disabilities provided by three companies, with required educational qualifications ranging from elementary, junior high, and senior/vocational high school graduates to bachelor’s and postgraduate degree holders. “The organisation of the job fair is not only aimed at bringing together job seekers and companies, but is also part of the regional government’s efforts to reduce the gap between industry needs and the available workforce competencies,” he said. Therefore, the Purbalingga Regency Government is strengthening competency improvement programmes through various training courses tailored to the needs of the business world. “Later, the government will provide support with training according to the skills required by companies. We will map and prepare the competency components needed by industry so that job seekers are more ready to compete,” the Regent said. Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Purbalingga Regency Industry and Manpower Office (Dinperinnaker), Mukodam, said that the Job Fair 2026 also features a number of supporting activities to enhance workforce capacity. According to him, various workshops are being held with support from Universitas Terbuka Purwokerto, the Purwokerto Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Purbalingga Regional-Owned Enterprises Forum, and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Purbalingga. Furthermore, his office is also providing various skills training courses such as makeup artistry, sewing, automotive, refrigerator servicing, and training at the Purbalingga Vocational Training Centre (BLK) in cooperation with job training institutions to prepare workers for the garment industry in the Banyumas and surrounding areas. “Through the provision of job vacancies and the improvement of workforce competencies, the Purbalingga Regency Government hopes that the Job Fair 2026 can become a long-term solution to increase the competitiveness of the local workforce while meeting the needs of the continuously developing industry,” he said.
