PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC) recorded an annual profit surge of 230 percent to Rp 6.70 trillion after implementing a business transformation.

“The transformation has begun to show results. Going forward, what needs to be maintained is consistency, while remaining prepared to face market and policy changes,” said Head of BP BUMN and concurrently COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, in a statement confirmed on Friday (19/6/2026).

As of May 2026, the Pupuk Indonesia Group recorded year-to-date (YTD) revenue of Rp 47.71 trillion, growing 49 percent compared to the same period the previous year. Stronger operational performance also boosted EBITDA to Rp 11.36 trillion, an increase of 132 percent. Meanwhile, net profit was recorded at Rp 6.70 trillion, soaring 230 percent year-on-year.

Consequently, BP BUMN and Danantara continue to encourage PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC) to strengthen its business performance while maintaining its role in supporting national food security.

On Friday (19/6/2026), Dony held a meeting with the directors of PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC) to discuss the company’s business developments and various strategic issues affecting the national fertiliser industry.

The discussion focused on business and fertiliser market dynamics, risk management due to commodity price fluctuations (mark-to-market), anticipation of changes to the subsidy scheme, and strengthening the governance of subsidised fertiliser distribution to ensure it is more accurately targeted.

These measures are considered important to maintain the sustainability of the company’s performance while ensuring the fertiliser sector’s support for agricultural productivity and national food security.

Dony assessed that the performance achievements of Pupuk Indonesia demonstrate that the business transformation undertaken by the company is on the right track and needs to be continuously strengthened to face various future challenges.

Through strengthened transformation, more adaptive risk management, and improved distribution governance, Pupuk Indonesia is expected to continue enhancing the company’s competitiveness while reinforcing its contribution to supporting national food security sustainably.
