Pupil in Bogor admits feeling more enthusiastic about school thanks to MBG chicken katsu

A pupil at SDN Jogjogan 01 in Bogor, West Java, Daniel (11), has admitted to feeling more enthusiastic about going to school thanks to the chicken katsu served in the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) at his school. Daniel was already accustomed to arriving early at school, as for him, arriving in the morning is not just a routine but part of preparing for the day. “I usually arrive at school at 06.30 to avoid being late,” he said in an official statement from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in Jakarta on Sunday. Daniel admitted that there is now one other thing he secretly looks forward to every time he comes to school, namely the moment of eating MBG with his friends in the classroom. Among the many menus that have appeared on the table, chicken katsu remains the champion. For him, the menu is not just food but has a crisp and tender taste that is enough to make his day feel more enjoyable. During break time, Daniel sits with his friends. They eat, chat, and laugh, creating moments of togetherness that may seem ordinary but are meaningful. “It’s delicious and makes you full too. So it makes me more enthusiastic about learning,” he said. Daniel hopes that MBG continues at his school, which is one proof that behind this programme that continues to make improvements, there is the spirit of a young pupil who keeps growing, those who are always enthusiastic about preparing for the future.
