Punishment for destroyers of forests
Punishment for destroyers of forests
From Jurnal Indonesia
I fully agree that the CGI aid be stopped or decreased if the
Indonesian government is unable to prevent national parks from
being destroyed by irresponsible parties.
In my opinion, to destroy a forest is a barbarian deed that is
worse than any cruel act in the world. Those who destroy forests
are robbers of what the next generation need and deserve, and as
such the forests should be kept for them.
I would therefore like to suggest that those destroyers be
punished severely, and if necessary be sentenced to death. What
they do has resulted not only in deforestation but erosion and
floods that will in turn cause people a lot of suffering. This
surely costs more than what is gained from the sale of timber.
