Puncak Bogor Area Congested, One-Way System in Effect This Morning

As observed by detikcom at the Gadog intersection on Saturday, May 16, 2026, traffic was heavy heading towards Puncak. Vehicles were densely packed from both the Jagorawi toll road and the Ciawi arterial road.

Four-wheeled vehicles were unable to move freely. Meanwhile, two-wheeled vehicles could still pass through relatively easily along the side of the road.

The congestion is partly due to bottlenecks in the road. The one-way system is implemented situationally, depending on the volume of vehicles in Puncak.

Tourists Expected to Increase

Previously, the Bogor Police Traffic Unit predicted that vehicle volume would increase on the third day of the long weekend holiday. The one-way system towards Puncak will be implemented in the morning to anticipate traffic jams.

“So, we predict that the number of people who will be travelling for tourism will increase tomorrow, on Saturday,” said the Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Afif Widhi Ananto, on Friday, May 15.

“Tomorrow, Saturday, a one-way traffic management system will be implemented in the morning, starting at approximately 07:00 WIB, heading towards Puncak,” he added.

Afif advised drivers to adjust their departure times if they want to travel to the Puncak Bogor area, so they can take advantage of the traffic management system, which will be implemented at 09:20 WIB.
