Puma new partner of Ferrari F1 team

JAKARTA: Sports apparel maker Puma AG and Ferrari Spa have
announced a multiyear contract that will take effect next year,
according to a media release here on Thursday.

Under the contract, Puma will become the official licensee of
replica and fan merchandise for Ferrari, as well as the supplier
of Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, which has secured this season's
world driver's title as well as the world constructor's
championship.

In addition to fireproof racing products, Puma will supply the
team with teamwear, team footwear and accessories. The
cooperation will begin on Jan. 1, 2005.

"I'm very pleased with our new partnership with Ferrari and
its Formula 1 team," Jocheri Zaits, CEO and chairman of Puma,
