Pulp plant in C. Kalimantan

JAKARTA (JP): A private national company PT. Ceria Karya Pranawa plans to build an Rp 8.5 trillion (US$1.13 billion) pulp plant in Kotawaringin Timur regency, Central Kalimantan, Antara reported on Monday.

The plant will be built inside a 68,000 hectare forest estate and will employ 1,720 workers when it is completed in 2001, Abdul Karim, the head of Central Kalimantan Investment Coordinating Agency said in Palangkaraya.

Ceria Karya Pranawa obtained its investment approval in September and is now working on clearing the land. (02)
