Pulogebang Terminal Offers Rp 15,000 Accommodation for Ticketed Bus Passengers

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The cheap lodging at Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, East Jakarta, can only be rented by passengers who hold a bus ticket. The Terminal Squad Commander, Daryanto, said the lodging is provided as a temporary rest place for passengers continuing their journey. ‘So the lodging at Pulogebang is only temporary. People can rest here if they already have a ticket,’ Daryanto said when questioned at the site on Friday (6 March 2026). The rental price is very affordable at Rp 15,000, plus a bathroom fee of Rp 5,000. ‘There are many who come late, then wait for the morning bus,’ he said. The lodging at Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, East Jakarta, is managed by the DKI Jakarta Department of Transportation (Dishub). A banner reading ‘Transit Lodging Rp 15,000 per Night’ is posted near the arrivals door. The sleeping area is located on the third floor of the drivers’ rest building, near the arrivals area. Our observations at the site showed Dishub officers on duty. Some rooms are locked as visitors rest, while others are empty. Electrical sockets are available in each room. The mattresses are reasonably comfortable though their firmness varies. The corridor and the bathrooms are separated to maintain comfort.
