Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal Management Unit recorded a total of 113,104 passengers served during the 2026 Eid transportation period from 1 to 28 March, with the outbound flow to hometowns still dominating over the return flow.

Based on operational data from the 2026 Eid Transportation Command Post, the number of departures reached 71,533 passengers supported by 9,782 buses, while arrivals were recorded at 41,571 passengers using 8,794 buses.

“For today’s arrival data from 00:00 until 2:00 p.m., the buses arriving at the terminal numbered 525 units with 3,688 passengers,” said Commander of Squad 2 at Pulo Gebang Terminal Anwar Mansyur in Jakarta on Sunday.

He explained that this daily data serves as an indicator of the initial return flow movement, although the volume remains fluctuating and has not yet matched the peak of the outbound flow.

Meanwhile, the return flow has begun to show limited increases in the last few days. During the period from 24 to 28 March, arrivals averaged around 4,000 passengers per day.

According to Anwar, Pulo Gebang Terminal currently serves major inter-city and inter-provincial routes to and from Sumatra, including cities such as Lampung, Palembang, Jambi, up to Medan, as well as Central Java, East Java, Bali, up to Bima in West Nusa Tenggara.

The terminal management estimates that the return flow period will continue for the next few days, in line with the end of the Eid holiday, so coordination is ongoing to ensure smooth services.

“We have conducted a customer satisfaction survey regarding the facilities or services provided by the terminal. On average, the results show they are satisfied,” said Anwar.

Various supporting facilities and infrastructure to enhance user satisfaction at the four-storey terminal are provided, including air-conditioned lodging rooms at a rate of Rp15,000 per night, escalators and lifts between floors.

There are also non-cash transaction facilities at all partner MSME outlets up to ATMs on the first floor, places of worship, separation of arrival and departure areas for passengers, public address systems for information, lactation rooms, free health checks, reading corners, and children’s play areas.
