A fire struck the Pullman Hotel, located on Jalan Letjen S Parman, Tanjung Duren Selatan, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, on Saturday (1/8/2026) morning. A total of 14 fire engines and 70 personnel were deployed to control the blaze.

The Head of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, Syaiful Kahfi, stated that officers moved swiftly after receiving the report at 07:59 WIB. “Officers were dispatched just one minute after the report was received,” said Syaiful on Saturday.

He explained that the firefighting operation began intensively at 08:05 WIB. Thanks to the rapid response, the fire was successfully localised, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.

“At this time, the situation at the fire site is under control, and officers have been conducting a cooling process since 08:15 WIB to ensure there are no remaining hotspots that could potentially trigger a secondary fire,” said Syaiful.

As of the time of this report, the handling process is still ongoing under a yellow alert status. Personnel remain on-site to ensure the cooling process is completed and to ensure there is no risk of the fire reigniting. There has been no official statement regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the material losses. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
