“We greatly appreciate the cooperation, patience, and understanding of all our guests, partners, and stakeholders during this situation,” they added.

The fire was reported to have struck the Pullman Hotel, located in Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, on Saturday (1/8) morning. The Head of Operations for the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, Syaiful Kahfi, confirmed that personnel were dispatched immediately after receiving the report at 07:59 WIB.

“Officers were dispatched just one minute after the report was received,” said Syaiful.

A total of 14 fire engines and 70 personnel were deployed to the location to extinguish the flames. The firefighting operation, which began intensively at 08:05 WIB, successfully localised the fire within a short period.

“The situation at the fire site is now under control, and officers have been conducting the cooling process since 08:15 WIB to ensure there are no remaining hotspots that could potentially trigger a secondary fire,” said Syaiful.

The fire at the Pullman Hotel was extinguished shortly thereafter. The fire is suspected to have been triggered by an electrical fault.

“Extinguishment complete,” stated the Jakarta Fire and Rescue command centre on Saturday (1/8).
