PUI Expresses Gratitude to General Listyo Sigit for His Service
The Persatuan Ummsch Islam (PUI) has expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for his service and leadership during his tenure as the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri). PUI stated that General Sigit successfully maintained Indonesia’s security throughout his leadership.
“PUI conveys its thanks and appreciation to Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for his dedication and leadership in leading the National Police. We appreciate the various efforts made to maintain the security, order, and unity of the Indonesian people,” said PUI General Chairman Raizal Arifin in a statement received on Saturday (3/10/2026).
According to Raizal, General Sigit’s leadership faced significant challenges. Therefore, communication and partnerships with community organisations must continue to be maintained and developed.
“For PUI, the relationship between the National Police and the community is not only about security, but also about how to work together to build a safe, orderly, and civil social life. We hope this spirit of collaboration can continue,” he said.
PUI Deputy General Chairman Irfan Ahmad Fauzi also expressed appreciation for the National Police’s attention to various social and community issues.
“We thank General Listyo Sigit for his service while leading the National Police. There are many areas for collaboration that can continue to be developed between the police and community organisations, particularly in public education, youth development, drug prevention, and the strengthening of social resilience,” said Irfan.
Irfan noted that leadership changes are a natural part of the institutional process. He emphasised that the important task moving forward is to ensure that public service agendas and the strengthening of the relationship between the police and the community continue uninterrupted.
“Every leadership has its own challenges and context. PUI hopes that the positive developments established during General Listyo Sigit’s leadership can become part of the continuity of the National Police’s service to the community,” he said.
PUI also expressed appreciation for the National Police’s commitment to building an approach that prioritises service and partnership with the community. PUI also expressed hope that General Listyo Sigit would continue to contribute to the nation and state after completing his term as Chief of National Police.
“May General Listyo Sigit always be granted health and the opportunity to continue contributing to the nation and state. On behalf of PUI, we express our gratitude for his service during his leadership of the National Police,” said Raizal.
