Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Public Works (PU), through the Office of Building Materials and Structures Technology (BTBSBG), has gathered input from construction industry players via the 2026 Customer Communication Forum (FKP).

“Excellent public service must be built through deliberative discussion and constructive input from service users and relevant parties,” said Ajun Hariono, Head of the Office of Building Materials and Structures Technology (BTBSBG) under the Directorate of Building Technology and Environmental Sanitation (BTBGPL), Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to him, as stipulated in Law No. 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services, creating excellent service requires a platform for information exchange between service providers, users, and relevant stakeholders. To this end, the Office of Building Materials and Structures Technology (BTBSBG) organised the 2026 Customer Communication Forum (FKP).

The 2026 BTBSBG FKP event was held in Jakarta and attended by service providers, users, and stakeholders including government agencies, academics, practitioners, associations, mass media, business entities, and other components.

“BTBSBG continues to strive towards realising its vision of professional, responsive, and best-in-class public services in the field of building materials and structures, one of which is through the 2026 FKP, which has been held continuously as a basis for ongoing service improvement,” said Ajun Hariono.

He explained that given the risks and dynamics within the construction sector, public input regarding service standards at BTBSBG must be continuously improved to keep pace with all changes in applicable rules and standards. Therefore, the various inputs provided by the participants of the 2026 BTBSBG FKP will serve as a strategic review in establishing service standard reforms at BTBSBG.

During the event, awards were presented to BTBSBG service users who demonstrated spirit and commitment to building and maintaining the reliability of building structures.

BTBSBG is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) under the Directorate of Building Technology and Environmental Sanitation (BTBGPL), Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works, which provides three main services: laboratory testing, technical advice, and technical guidance in the field of building materials and structures to the wider public.
