Public Works Minister Confirms Four-Day Toll Discount During 2026 Eid Holiday Period
The Minister of Public Works (PU), Dody Hanggodo, has officially confirmed the implementation of toll tariff discounts during the exodus and return periods of the 2026 Eid holiday. This policy has been introduced to support smooth mobility and reduce traffic congestion during the Idulfitri 1447 H period.
The toll discount will apply for four days, divided into two days during the outbound exodus period and two days during the return period.
“Generally, the toll tariff discount will be implemented for four days from 15 to 16 March 2026 for outbound traffic, and from 26 to 27 March 2026 for return traffic,” Hanggodo stated in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (2 March).
The government has set a 30 per cent tariff reduction for all vehicle categories. However, road users must meet certain conditions to qualify for the discounted rate.
Whilst the general schedule is set for 15–16 March and 26–27 March, some toll sections have different schedules.
A total of 29 toll road sections across Indonesia will implement the tariff reduction during the 2026 Eid period.
Hanggodo explained that the discount aims to prevent vehicle accumulation during peak outbound and return traffic days. By providing price incentives, the government hopes to encourage the public to travel earlier.
“We hope traffic distribution becomes more even so that the burden on national roads can be significantly reduced,” he concluded.
