Public Trust Levels in Prabowo-Gibran According to Poltracking
The survey institution Poltracking has released the results of its latest government survey conducted in May 2026. One of the key findings concerns the level of public trust in the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Poltracking researcher, Masduri Amrawi, stated that from 1,220 respondents surveyed across various regions in Indonesia, 8 per cent expressed very high trust in Prabowo-Gibran, while 66.2 per cent reported being sufficiently trusting. “When combining those who are very trusting and those who are sufficiently trusting, the figure reaches 74.2 per cent,” Masduri said during an online press conference on Thursday, 4 June 2026.
On the other hand, Masduri noted that 20.6 per cent of respondents expressed low trust in the President and Vice President, while 1.5 per cent expressed no trust at all. The total percentage of respondents who expressed distrust towards Prabowo-Gibran stands at 22.3 per cent.
In addition to public trust, Poltracking also surveyed the level of public satisfaction regarding the government’s performance. The results show that 72.2 per cent of respondents are satisfied with the performance of Prabowo and Gibran. Conversely, 23.2 per cent expressed low satisfaction, while 1.9 per cent were very dissatisfied.
Based on this survey, Poltracking concluded that public perception of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration is relatively positive. “These findings indicate that the majority of the public still provides a positive assessment of government performance across various sectors,” said Masduri.
The latest Poltracking Indonesia survey took place between 11-17 May 2026. Poltracking surveyed Indonesian citizens who possess voting rights, either by being at least 17 years old or being married. The institution utilised a multi-stage random sampling method with 1,220 respondents from various regions in Indonesia, conducting face-to-face interviews with selected participants. The survey institution estimates a margin of error of approximately 2.9 per cent with a 95 per cent confidence level.
